A Wedding Weekend Away
The weekend just gone, myself and my family headed down to weymouth from Friday to Sunday as it was my uncles wedding on Saturday 5th August 2017. It was so exciting as I had never been to Weymouth before so was buzzing to see what we could explore there. For the first night (Friday) we arrived fairly late so just got a bite to eat at the restaurant then headed to our hotel rooms for the night. The next day was the wedding, so we went into the town for a while in the morning and I stayed with my nan where I was snapping away along the seafront, and then the sun started to shine. Shortly after there was a massive shower so we got under parasols in the cafe but it didn’t last long. Libby (my cousin) did my hair beautifully and we all got ready and then went to the ceremony which was lovely. It was a very small wedding as that is what the newly wedded couple wanted and it reminded me you don’t have to have loads to make a wedding. After we walked across the beach front we came to the reception which we stayed in till we danced the night away (which was hilarious because we were making up dance moves such as ‘driving the tractor’!) Then the day came to an end and it was such a special day for Harley and Marie, who are now Mr and Mrs Clark – I am so happy for them and wish them all the best for the future they will share together. The next morning we had a delicious English breakfast and then had a walk across the pebble beach before making our two and a half hour journey home. Weymouth is definitely a good place to explore by foot as there are some of the best views and I would say that it is good for a weekend trip as it is small town so everything is nearby. I always love that seaside destinations are busy in the summer holidays which means it is a very vibrant and lively place to be.
